Lisa J. Lennox
Lisa Lennox has been performing since the age of 3. You may have spotted her on the television series Road to Avonlea, which she had a small part in the intoduction or maybe from a performace at the Gemini Awards. Lisa attended Etobicoke School of the Arts (ESA) in Ontario Canada, instead of a traditional high school to further her love of the performing arts.
As a teenager, Lennox got used to performing for other youth as a singer in The Groove Club, a collection of child vocalists that covered popular music. Think the Kid Bops.
Following a brief stint as a pseudo pop star, Lennox moved on to Sheridan College where she studied theatre. Two years in she left after being offered a role in The Charlottetown Festival’s seminal production of Anne of Green Gables.
After a successful run down east, Lisa returned to college and secured her diploma before heading back to the Atlantic coast, this time to perform as Anne’s best friend, Diana Berry.
Lisa was invited by David Connolly (show choreographer who Lisa worked with at Sheridan College) to audition for the Doodlebops and three weeks later, got the job.
She says that being on the Doodlebops is a dream come true, and very exciting. She also says that Chad and Jon help to make the long days more bearable addng that the three of them spent a lot of time laughing and have become close friends. Lisa loves making people happy, especially the children, and really enjoys being part of the Doodlebops.
