A Doodley Holiday

A Doodley Holiday
By Ashley a.k.a Twista

Gather ‘round fangirls of all ages- this one’s for you. Just sit back and let good old Twista tell a holiday story of things to come…

It all begins with an idea inspired by the cheer of the holiday season. Band members Deedee, Rooney and Moe had just finished rehearsing in Doodlebop Central when the inspiration began. Rooney (aka Mr. Tall, Blue and Handsome) was taking a break from rockin’ out on his guitar, but his fingers were still at work…tapping on the computer keyboard that is. See, there was this lovely fansite that Rooney often liked to drop by and see what was new in the world of the Doodlebop fans. However, as he was surfing it this time, something new caught his eye- it was a whole topic devoted to happy holiday wishes written for him and his fellow Doodlebops!

Rooney called Deedee (aka Voice Extraordinaire) and Moe (Mr. What Dreams are Made of) over to see all the lovely things that people of all ages had to say, things about how much the fans appreciated all their hard work and how much happiness the Doodles brought to their days. And things about whose backside was best. When the three Doodlebops read all the nice comments, they wished there was something they could do to let these fans know that they too were in the Doodles’ hearts during the holiday season. They finally decided that it would be so much fun to have a special concert for all the members of this #1 fansite, Together Forever. So, lickety-split they sent out invitations to these members letting them know where and when this private concert would take place.

Back on Together Forever, the chatroom was ablaze with members wondering whether or not it was all for real and getting hysterically excited when they found out it was (Jazz contacted Stephanie L. leader of the TF fansite and assured her it was true). As it turned out the concert was to be held in DOODLEBOP CENTRAL!! Two weeks from the date the invitations were sent! Every TF member was so excited and, in a very lucky turn of events, all were able to go! So, off they were to Canada!

After much anticipation, the night came for the concert and the TF fans began to arrive. They came from all over the U.S. and some even came from places around the world: there were fans from Virginia and California, New York, Ohio, Alabama, Trinidad and Tobago- and many more! But there was a catch: see, Jazz thought that it might not be wise to let (semi-obsessed) fans know the secret location of Doodlebop Central. Can you say mob raid, anyone?

Jazz arranged for the fans to meet at a Canadian McDonalds and have Bus Driver Bob pick them up and take them to the concert. As the fans began arriving, it was fun for them to meet each other and (for some) put a face with a name. All of a sudden they heard “Doot doot doot do do do doot!” and they knew that it was time to get on the bus! After a quick group rendition of the get on the bus dance, they were all on board and on their way. After a strange drive filled with lots of tunnels, secret passageways through mountains and a little bit of flying, they finally got there! Doodlebop Central! It was so cute and covered in snow…which the warm-weathered winter folk didn’t deal well with.

A flash of car lights lit up the group and a blinged-out Cadillac Escalade rolled up to the group. Who was it, you ask? Well, none other than Audio Murphy and his pal Snoop Dogg (who is actually a huge DB fan- he likes to do the Wobbly Whoopsy when nobody’s looking). Audio said hey to everybody and wished them Happy Holidays before he drove off to get to the concert he and Snoop were performing at. While everyone was talking excitedly about how cool it had been to get to meet Audio Murphy, the doors to Doodlebop Central opened and none other than Jazz herself welcomed everyone in and wished them Merry Christmases, Happy Chanukahs, and overall wonderful holidays to all.

The fans poured inside the Db headquarters and to their delight, it was decorated with the most festive decorations you could imagine! There were glittering snowflakes hanging everywhere and in the back of the room was a table piled high with the most delicious holiday treats you could imagine (it turns out Mudge is quite the cook!). The fans settled in and waited on pins and needles for the Doodles to arrive. But where were they? The fans started to wonder where the Doodles were and Jazz realized that she didn’t know where they were either. She began to worry and tried calling their cellphones, but they didn’t answer! So she sent out Bus Driver Bob to go looking for them and she herself jumped on her sled and, MUSH!, she and her dog sled tem were off. In all the panic, nobody noticed Stephanie L. slip out the back door mysteriously.

Meanwhile, Mudge, the chicken and Mr. Moosehead tried their best to pretend they were the Doodlebops. Unfortunately though, as hard as he tried, Mr. Moosehead just couldn’t look quite as cool as Rooney or Moe while dancing to Hold Your Horses. The fans were starting to feel a bit disheartened when a flash of red caught their eye through the window…they raced over to see what it was when they realized that you can’t really see anything out of that window but that wall with all the graffiti stuff on it. “It was Santa!” someone yelled. “Yeah, it was him on his sleigh!” yelled someone else.

But it wasn’t.

It was Stephanie and her striking red hair…and she had the doodles with her! It turns out that they had gotten stuck in a snowstorm on their way back from the local dance club, and Stephanie (having visited it many times before) knew exactly where the doodles would be. It was a holiday miracle! Everyone cheered and the Doodles, the troopers that they are, quickly warmed up and put on the NUMBER #1, Bestest, most AWESOME concert since the beginning of time. Everyone’s favorite songs were performed and fangirls could dance all they wanted without feeling silly because everyone was dancing! It was a super magical night- one that they would all remember forever, and never, EVER forget.

O yeah…and to answer your questions…yes there was mistletoe, and no, I’m not going to tell you what happened ;). Sweet dreams Fangirls!!!
